An Umbrella

 "Tharanga ,You should keep this letter verry carefully .it will strongly affect your promotion."

"Definitely sir," 

Tharanga put the letter in his bag verry carefully. He come of the ofice. It was rainy day. It was already raining hevily. Tharanga reached in to his bag to pick up the umbrella. "Oh my goodness, i forgot to bring umbrella today too." He looked around for help from someone walking out of the ofice.but no one. He was late because he was talking to the boss. 

The boss come out. He has a big umbrella . Tharanga looked at him, hopping he would help him get to the bus stoped. The boss got a call. He answered  and left without look at tharanga. Tharanga felt sad and irritated.

"Only see us when we have somthing to do. Other time he dosen't even care as an ant".

Tharanga was looking at the road thinking so. From here it is about 100m to the bus stoped. 

"If you run, you will get wet"

Tharanga thought so and blamed himself. Never come back without an umbrella. He was wondering.  

"Sir, why are you here.?" That's minor employee of our office.

" I couldn't bring the umbrella today ,there's no way to get to bus stoped."

"I can help you. I have an umbrella."

With that he stretched out an umbrella . It is black and old.And small too. There were small holes everywhere. I felt compassion  for him. This minor employer possesses the humanity that people with swollen mind that is superior do not have. I come with him to the bus stoped under that umbrella.That is not enough for two. So about half the body got wet.

"Sir , be carefull, i'm leaving ."

Having said that he left before i  could even thank him. I wiped the wet area with a tissue. The bag was a little wet too.

"Oh,God! The letter."

Immediately opened the bag and look it.
